Editorial policy
Five rules, each of which can be checked against the site. Where the site fails one, the corrections page is where it is recorded.

A figure is published only with its source document, URL and the date it was read. Figures from secondary sources are marked «compiled» and are replaced, not merged, when the primary is read. No figure is typed into prose; prose is rendered from the engine. When a figure is wrong, the constant is corrected and every page that used it changes; the correction is logged.
Text
Text explains what the figures mean and what changes them. It does not give individual advice, does not speculate about law that has not passed, and says what it does not know. Claims about other sites carry the URL and the date the claim was read. No text is generated by a language model: the AI on this site explains computed figures to a reader on request and its output is never stored as content.
Independence
No advertising, affiliate links or lead capture at launch. Comparison pages describe competitors with evidence and carry no ratings. Any commercial relationship that could touch a figure or a comparison would be disclosed on the page it touches and on the business page before it began.
Updates
Federal figures are updated when the Revenue Procedure, the SSA notice and Publication 15-T are published for the new year, usually in October to December, and marked for the coming year. State figures are updated as each state publishes. Mid-year law changes are modelled when the text is available and noted as such. Every update is a changelog entry with the reason.
