Short, because there is little to say: the site is free to use, its results are estimates, and the API and widget ask for a link.

Use of the site

The calculators, pages, API and widget are free to use for personal, educational and commercial purposes. Results are estimates for planning, not tax, legal or payroll advice, and no professional relationship is created by using them. You are responsible for decisions taken on the basis of a result; the site's authors are not.

API and embed

The API and the embeddable widget may be used without a key at reasonable volume with a visible link to calculatepaycheck.net. The rate limit is stated on the API page. Automated scraping of the pages, as opposed to the API, is not permitted; the API exists so that it is unnecessary. White-label and high-volume use is licensed separately.

Content

Text and figures may be quoted with attribution and a link. Wholesale reproduction of pages is not permitted. The underlying public documents belong to their agencies; the engine and the text are the author's.

No warranty

The site is provided as is. Every effort is made to keep figures current and sourced, and the corrections page records where that effort failed, but no warranty is given that any figure is correct for your situation or that the site will be available. Liability is limited to the extent the law allows.
