Why an iframe rather than a copied table
The widget is served from this domain, so the figures inside it are whatever we publish today: a state that changes its rate in May reaches your readers in May, and the January update reaches them in January, without you touching your page. A copied rate table is right the day it is pasted and silently wrong afterwards, which for tax figures is the worst possible failure. If the widget ever stopped resolving it would fail visibly rather than show a stale number.
What is inside
The full calculator: salary or hourly, ten pay frequencies, all four filing statuses, the 2020 W-4 steps, pre-tax and after-tax deductions, year-to-date wages, all 51 state jurisdictions and the verified local taxes, with the figures and dates shown. You can fix the state, the mode and the default frequency with the builder above; the visitor can still change what you did not fix. The widget carries a link back to the full page, which is the only condition of use.
Terms
Free, no key, no registration, no volume limit for ordinary sites; the visible link is the condition. A white-label version without the link, or a version with your own defaults and colours, is a business matter. The widget sets no cookies of its own and sends nothing your visitors type anywhere; the privacy page describes what the explanation button sends when pressed.
